Evidence That Demands a Decision | Seven Clues That Point to God
Is Christianity simply a matter of blind faith, or is there real evidence that points us to the truth?
In this sermon, we examine seven compelling lines of evidence that every worldview must explain:
- Creation — Why does anything exist, and why is the universe so finely ordered?
- Humanity — Why do people possess morality, purpose, and an awareness of right and wrong?
- Scripture — What explains the Bible’s remarkable unity, reliability, and fulfilled prophecy?
- Jesus Christ — Who was Jesus, and what do His life, death, and resurrection demand of us?
- History — Does the historical evidence support the claims of Christianity?
- The Church — How has Christ preserved and grown His people across two thousand years?
- Transformed Lives — What explains the countless lives radically changed by the power of the gospel?
The goal of this message is not merely to win an argument but to honestly examine the evidence. Every person lives by faith in some worldview. The real question is not whether we have faith, but which worldview best explains reality.
Ultimately, the evidence does more than inform our minds—it calls for a response. The God revealed in creation, history, and supremely in Jesus Christ invites every person to repent, believe the gospel, and follow Him.
“Always be prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect.” — 1 Peter 3:15 (ESV)
