What does genuine faith look like?
In Matthew 9:27–31, two blind men relentlessly pursue Jesus, convinced that He alone can restore their sight. Before healing them, Jesus asks a searching question: “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” Their response reveals that biblical faith is more than wishful thinking or positive thinking—it is confident trust in the person and authority of Christ.
This passage reminds us that faith is not measured by how loudly we profess it, but by where it is placed. Jesus is still calling people to trust Him completely, to follow Him faithfully, and to obey Him wholeheartedly.
In this message, we explore:
• What genuine faith pursues
• Why Jesus sometimes tests our faith
• What it means to live “according to your faith”
• The relationship between faith and obedience
• How Christ remains worthy of our complete trust today
Whether you are struggling with doubt, waiting on God, or seeking to grow in your walk with Christ, Matthew 9:27–31 points us to the One whose authority is greater than our weakness and whose power is never limited.
